![]() ![]() Change the following SET > CONNECTORS menu settings in the IC-7300 (most are NOT the Icom defaults): CI-V Baud Rate: 19200 CI-V Transceive: ON CI-V Output (for ANT): ON CI-V USB Port: Unlink from CI-V USB Baud Rate: 115200 CI-V USB Echo Back: ON USB Serial Function: CI-V.(Your Windows default sound card will now be changed to the Icom radio sound card instead of the sound card in your PC, which is not good, so use the Windows Sound Control Panel to change the default Windows Sound Card back to the PC sound card).You will use the new virtual serial port with your PC logging program for "Radio 1" (see step 13 below, do not start the computer software yet). ![]() Open the Windows Device Manager (Run devmgmt.msc), you should find the new virtual serial port of the IC-7300 (If you see "Unknown Device", and no new serial port, right click on the unknown device and select Uninstall device, then disconnect and reconnect the USB cable).Connect the USB cable supplied with the radio (USB-A to USB-B) and wait a minute or two for Windows to recognize the new device (Windows will create new Virtual Serial Port and new USB Audio CODEC sound card).Install the USB driver FIRST, before connecting any USB cable.
